We all know about the mess that was brought by Takata airbags that affected a number of manufacturers around the world in which some had died due to this one. So owners of affected Honda vehicles including 2003 to 2006 Accords, 2006 to 2007 Pilots, and 2004 to 2005 Civics, you need to read this one.
With Honda
moving away from Takata as their airbag supplier, some eight to 12 year old Hondas have it and Honda Cars Philippines just recently announced that it will check 1,514 Accords, Pilots, and Civics due to a suspected defect in the airbag inflator of the driver side airbag.
Although no incidents related to this issue had been reported yet, Honda's announcement is part of their efforts to ensure the safety of their customers and encourages to bring their units to their nearest dealers for repairs which will not be accounted for.
Repairs had started last August 17, 2015, with affected owners being requested to contact their nearest Honda dealership.
